License renewal information for existing licensees.
Notice: The deadline to renew geology licenses for the 2021-2022 license year has been extended to July 31, 2021. Licensees will be able to renew with a $50 late fee from August 1 through August 31, 2021. Individual licensees will be required to report 12 PDH of CE with their renewal.
The annual license period for all individual and corporate geology licenses runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. All licenses must be renewed annually.
To renew a geology license, click “Licensee Login” in the upper-right corner of the page. To log in for the first time, you will have to set up a password by clicking the “Remind Me” link, which will generate an email with instructions for creating a password. The email address used to log in is the primary email address on file with the Board. If you do not know or need to change the email address, please contact the Board office.
Individual Geology Licenses - The renewal fee for individual licenses is $85. All licensed geologists must report 12 Professional Development Hours (PDH) of continuing education (CE) prior to renewing.* Licensees should fill out the CE Activity Log and submit with their license renewals. Please take care to correctly enter your carryover PDH, even if you have no new CE to report. Newly reported CE should have been earned in the period July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
For renewals after June 30: Report CE earned after June 30, 2021 if it is needed to meet the 12 PDH requirement. Excess CE earned after June 30 should be reported for the 2021-2022 license year (i.e., with next year's renewal).
*New licensees by way of examination are exempt from the CE requirement for their first renewal. Licensees by way of comity are required to report 12 PDH of CE with their first license renewal.
Corporate Geology Licenses - The renewal fee for corporate licenses is $25. The individual license for your firm's designated Geologist in Charge must also be renewed by July 31, 2021, or the corporate license will be subject to revocation.
