Notice: The deadline to renew geology licenses for the 2021-2022 license year has been extended to July 31, 2021.
Licensees will be able to renew with a $50 late fee from August 1 through August 31, 2021. Individual licensees will be required to report 12 PDH of CE with their renewal.
The annual license period for all individual and corporate geology licenses runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. All licenses must be renewed annually.
Online license renewal is now open with a new Licensee Portal. To access the portal, click “Licensee Login” in the upper-right corner of the page.
Note that this is a new system, so you will have to set a new password in order to sign in for the first time by clicking the “Remind Me” link. You must use the primary email address that we have on file. If you are unsure of the email address on file for a license, you can check the Licensee Listing, or contact the Board office. To change an email address, or if you need further assistance, please contact the Board office.
From the Licensee Portal, you will have the ability to update your contact information, submit Continuing Education, and complete the renewal payment by check or credit card (Visa or Mastercard only).
Individual License Renewals
The renewal fee for individual licenses is $85. A $50 late fee will apply starting August 1. Licenses not renewed by August 31 must be reinstated.
All licensed geologists must report 12 Professional Development Hours (PDH) of continuing education (CE) prior to renewing.*
All licensees are required to complete and submit the CE Activity Log with their license renewal, including those who are exempt or renewing with carryover CE only.
*New licensees by way of examination are exempt from the CE requirement for their first renewal. Licensees by way of comity are required to report 12 PDH of CE with their first license renewal.
Renewals after June 30: Report CE earned after June 30, 2021 if it is needed to meet the 12 PDH requirement. Excess CE earned after June 30 should be reported for the 2021-2022 license year (i.e., with next year's renewal).
