The North Carolina Board for Licensing of Geologists is responsible for regulating the public practice of geology in North Carolina, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute §89E, the Geologists Licensing Act.

License Renewal due by June 30, 2022
The deadline to renew your individual and/or corporate geology license without penalty is June 30, 2022. Licensees will be able to renew with a $50 late fee from July 1 through July 31, 2022. Individual licensees will be required to report 12 PDH of CE with their renewal. Online renewal will be available mid-April through a new Licensee Portal. Watch your email for specific instructions regarding CE application and reporting and license renewal. Be sure that the Board has your correct email address on file by using the licensee search feature on the Licensee Listing page or the Corporate Licensee Listing page found under the Resources tab.
