Conference Call Minutes

May 29, 2015

The meeting was called to order at 3:02 pm by Board Chair Rick Kolb.  Others present included Bill Miller, John Stevens, Lindsey Walata, Barbara Geiger, Board Administrator, and Phillip Reynolds, acting Board Counsel. Dr. Taylor had communicated with Barbara Geiger that he was in the field, but could be available if necessary.  Steve Miller was absent. Mr. Kolb read the conflict of interest statement.  There were no known conflicts.

It was noted that the reason for the meeting was to consider a provisional license for examination applicant Frank S. Anastasi per N.C. G.S. § 89E-7(b)(3).

Motion was made by Bill Miller per N.C. G.S. § 143-318.11(6) to move into closed session.  The motion was seconded by Lindsey Walata and carried.

The Board resumed the open session on motion by Lindsey Walata and second by Bill Miller.

It was noted that during the closed session, motion was made by Lindsey Walata to approve Mr. Anastasi for provisional license while his application for examination was being considered, based on his meeting the requirements of N.C. G.S. § 89E-7(b)(3).  The motion was seconded by Bill Miller and carried.

Board members were asked to review Mr. Anastasi’s application for examination and to respond to the Administrator with any additional information or concerns.

There being no further business, on motion and second, the meeting was adjourned at 11:38 am.
