Proposed Revised Rules

For your information, the North Carolina Board for Licensing of Geologists is revising the rules relating to the practice of geology in North Carolina.  We are making these changes to update the Board’s mailing address, include gender neutral language throughout the rules, add a continuing education requirement for licensees, clarify the investigative process, and create inactive status for retired licensee. A public hearing for these proposed revisions is set for January 4, 2017 at 11 am at Upton Associates, 3733 Benson Drive, Raleigh, NC 27629. Written comments may be submitted to the Board’s Executive Director by email at ncblg@bellsouth.net or US Mail addressed to Barbara U. Geiger, Board Executive Director, North Carolina Board for the Licensing of Geologists, Post Office Box 41225, Raleigh, NC 27629, or fax (919) 872-1598. The comment period for the proposed changes ends on February 13, 2017.
